Frans is a strategist with experience in general management consulting and early stage investment and correlated structures. This includes specialised compliance and juristic structure design, growth structure design, the Codes of Good Practice in South Africa, supply transformation and SME investment strategies.
Frans is passionate about designing, implementing and achieving transformation through synergistic growth structures. He serves as a trustee on a number of trusts set up to ensure transformation based on venture models for the Automotive Sector in South Africa.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, and has concluded research on the implementation of culture-sensitive improvement and transformation models in South Africa.
Prior to starting the Ingenious Group of Companies, he helped manage South Africa’s largest social venture capital fund, worked with a leading global strategy consultancy in South and West Africa, and implemented lean manufacturing models in the commercial aerospace industry.
Frans plays the role of lead strategist and Managing Director for Ingenious Group of Companies, and serves on the investment board of Ingenious Equity.
Tumi is a chartered accountant and began her working career at a leading global auditing firm where she served articles until 2006. She was responsible for various audits including Johnson Matthey, Nestle, Tiber Property Group and others within the FMCG and manufacturing sectors. Tumi then worked as Financial Manager at Nashua Finance and then later Nashua Kopano. Her roles included overseeing the financial departments, daily finance operations, year-end reporting, audits, overseeing budget preparations and presentations to the board and governance structures and processes.
During her time at Nashua Finance, Tumi liaised with relevant deal financiers and assisted in determining optimal finance structures for the business and its clients. Tumi then moved to Absa Bank in 2012, taking on various finance roles until she moved to Group Risk in 2014. Here she headed up Financial Reporting, including financial oversight of a strategic function that oversaw compliance with the varied legal frameworks in Africa, the UK and USA (due to the shareholding by Barclays).
Tumi holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Sciences from the University of Johannesburg (formerly Rand Afrikaans University), a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting from UNISA and is a qualified CA(SA).
Tumi leads Ingenious Equity and manages both the governance and investment teams. She has strong financial sector governance experience, and serves on multiple investment boards. Tumi strives to enable meaningful opportunities for those who otherwise wouldn’t have access to them.
Brad has a MBA, specialising in Finance and has an extensive background in finance and economics. He became involved in transformation at the outset at the time of the BEE Commission being established in 1999 while consulting to the then Minister of Finance at National Treasury Level.
Brad began building technology solutions to support the transformation agenda and in 2003, he was a founding partner of B1SA. Between the years of 2006 and 2013, Brad formed part of the B1SA Team providing the DTI with a technology infrastructure to support the education, compliance and reporting on the transformation progress. Brad is passionate about transformation that supports economic growth.
Brad has worked with some of the largest listed entities to implement their B-BBEE ownership solutions, but gets his greatest joy by assisting QSEs and smaller Generics to find sustainable and strategically aligned B-BBEE ownership solutions.
Eugenio has valuable legal experience in Insurance, Third Party Compensation, Medical Negligence and the drafting of Commercial documents. He has litigated on these in both the High and Magistrates Courts of South Africa. He has acted as the recoveries agent and general litigation specialist for numerous large-scale South African Insurance Houses. He is also an admitted Attorney with the North Gauteng High Court.
Eugenio holds a Bachelor of Law Degree (LLB) from the University of Pretoria. He co-designs and ensures legal compliance for structures implemented for our clients.
